Ring Dishes

These dishes were turned on the lathe, then engraved on the mill. On the lathe, we used a unique square shaped insert to get the strong curve to the dish.

We used Fusion 360 to design the shape of the dish, then used VCarve to do the engraving. We used two different types of engraving on the dishes, both V-Carved engraving (like on the UW Stout dish above) and a diamond drag (as shown in the other dishes).

The diamond drag causes a thin precise line for more small detail designs, while the v-carve cuts a deeper groove into the dish.
